Kyrie Eleison (Lord Have Mercy)

Holy Son of Man, I kneel before Your cross,
broken and sorrowful by what man's sin has done.
Kyrie eleison. Kyrie eleison. Kyrie eleison, I pray.
Kyrie eleison. Kyrie eleison. Kyrie eleison, I pray.

Precious Savior, Lamb of God, I bow before You now,
so unworthy of Your redeeming grace.
Kyrie eleison. Kyrie eleison. Kyrie eleison, I pray.
Kyrie eleison. Kyrie eleison. Kyrie eleison, I pray.

Kneeling here below Your cross,
all my gain for sure seems lost.
Kyrie eleison, I pray.

How Can It Be?

How can it be that I should gain
An int'rest in the Savior's blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain?
for me, who Him to death pursued?

He left His Father's throne above,
(so infinite, so free His grace!),
emptied Himself of all but love,
and bled for Adam's fallen race!

Amazing love! How can it be
that Thou, my God, should die,
that Thou should die for me, die for me?

No condemnation now I dread;
my Lord, all in Him is mine!
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
bold I approach th'eternal throne of God,
and claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Amazing love! How can it be that Thou,
my God, should give His life for me,
that Thou should give His live for me?
Amazing love! How can it be?
