Church of the Redeemer Choir
Welcome Message from the Church of the Redeemer Choir
Betty Bennett, Director of Music
The Church Choir at the 10:30 am service sets the undertone for worship by leading congregational singing. It also plays the role of edifier (teacher-encourager) through the singing of a variety of sacred vocal and choral works, ranging from early music to classics of the choral repertoire through to contemporary and popular compositions of present day composers and arrangers. Through its ministry, the choir aims to:
- Promote a culture of musical excellence that encourages all to give their best in worship.
- Lead by example, support and enrich congregational worship.
- Speak the gospel through music at worship services and special church events.
- Promote spiritual, social and musical growth among and within its members.
The choir year is from September to May. Pre-service rehearsals are held at 10 am on Sunday mornings and practices are held between 7 pm and 8:30 pm every Wednesday.
